Medical Training

The training that Valkyrie Rescue offers is varied and designed for the ever changing environment of Ukraine.

Civilian/NGO Medical Training:

½ Day Course: The purpose of this course is to teach civilians the basics of first aid in a hostile environment.

3-Day Course: Our advanced first aid course, designed for volunteers and NGOs that may be heading to more dangerous locations.

14-Day Course: Our advanced medical/stabilization course. This course is different to the others as it is designed to be offered to those who are existing medics and includes more advanced surgical techniques (the same course is offered to police and military personnel).

Police/Military Medical Training (NATO Standard):

1-Day Course: The one-day course is a rapid combat first aid course, based on the MARCH system with a large focus on the M (Massive hemorrhage) and the A (Airway) and chest seals. It is designed for units who are heading to the front lines with very short notice. This is an ASM (All Service Members) Care Under Fire course.

5-Day Course: This course is designed as a TCCC course and covers both MARCH & PAWS. We recommend it as a base course for all beginner unit medics. This is a CLS (Combat Life Safer) course.

14-Day Course: Our combat medic course and is designed with this conflict in mind. Usually, combat medic training takes upwards of 6 months. This course is designed with the time restraints typical of the average Ukrainian unit and was created in the attempt to give them all the tools they need. This course is for those who have already completed the CLS course and is a CMC (Combat Medic/Corpsman) course.

14-Day Course: Our advanced medical/stabilization course. This course is different from others as it is designed to be offered to those who are existing medics. The course includes more advanced medical and surgical techniques for physicians, trauma nurses, and upper-level medics, specifically those working in stabilization points and hospitals. This is not intended to be a civilian paramedic course and offers no civilian certification. This course is a CMP (Combat Paramedic) course with added techniques for improvised methods of care.
